Project Stills

This project came to be because we had previously worked on CareerTech, and the client loved it so much that they wanted to do it again. The success of that project inspired them to continue telling the story of CareerTech in a compelling way.

One of the most inspiring aspects of this project was the opportunity to tell a narrative story. Any time a brand wants to take that approach, it’s exciting. I love developing characters and storylines, and this project provided a great opportunity to do just that.

A unique challenge we faced was figuring out how to effectively communicate the story of CareerTech within the time allotted by the committee. Caroline, Adam, and I met for about two to three hours to discuss the best approach. Since CareerTech is a highly multifaceted organization with a lot to share, it was challenging to determine how to convey everything concisely. The biggest challenge was balancing the community focus—showing how CareerTech impacts everyone—while still addressing the many other aspects of the CareerTech system.

To overcome these challenges, we utilized multiple storytelling techniques, including graphics, voiceover, props, wardrobe, dialogue, etc. Throughout the brainstorming and writing process, we were intentional about finding the most efficient and effective ways to communicate key messages. It felt like putting together a puzzle, and that challenge made the project especially fun and rewarding.
